Resources
Certain abilities in 77-Bit require a resource to activate, while others can be used freely. Each class has a unique resource type with its own recharge mechanics. Managing your resource effectively often leads to stronger or more efficient gameplay.
Sentinel & Battery
Usage: Abilities consume a portion of the Sentinel’s Battery.
Taking Damage: Every hit you endure helps restore some Battery.
Restorative Abilities: Some abilities cost 0 Battery but refill your resource instead.
Depletion: Over time, if unused or if you’re not taking damage, Battery gradually drains to 0.
Hacker & Data
Usage: Hacker abilities spend Data when activated.
Successful Skill Hits: Landing specific skills on enemies restores Data.
Restorative Abilities: These cost 0 Data and are clearly marked, allowing you to replenish Data in combat.
Automatic Recovery: If you’re out of battle for a while, Data slowly regenerates on its own.
Technomancer & Pixel Energy
Usage: Skills consume Pixel Energy whenever you cast them.
Time-Based Regeneration: Pixel Energy refills itself steadily as time passes, both in and out of combat (at varying rates, if applicable).
Resources are important as most high-impact skills require them. They're valuable for burst damage or strategic plays.
Each resource reflects its class’s playstyle, Sentinels thrive on risk-taking and damage, Hackers excel through precise hits, and Technomancers leverage time-based regen.
Knowing when to spend or save your resource can be the difference between dominating an encounter and running out of steam.
Mastering each class’s resource system will help you optimize your ability usage, ensuring you always have enough fuel when it counts most.
