Lootboxes

Cartridges function as loot boxes in 77-Bit, each containing randomized rewards. Some can be acquired through gameplay (e.g., drops from enemies or found in chests), while others are purchasable in the Store. Before you can open a Cartridge, you must decrypt it.

How It Works

1. Acquire a Cartridge: - In-Game Loot: Certain bosses, dungeons, or special events may drop locked Cartridges. - Store: Higher-tier or specialty Cartridges can also be purchased here.

2. Decryption - Visit the Cryptomancer in Byte City: This NPC can decrypt your Cartridges. - Decryption Cost: Typically requires some in-game currency (Pixels, Data, or similar). Costs may vary based on Cartridge rarity or other factors.

1. Open & Reveal - Randomized Loot: Each decrypted Cartridge contains items of varying quality and rarity (gear, consumables, and other valuable goods). - Probability Tiers: Each Cartridge has different odds for different item tiers (e.g., Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary).

Cartridges come in different types or tiers, each with its own probability distribution for item quality. For example:

• Basic Cartridge: Common to Rare items, modest chance of Epic loot.

• Advanced Cartridge: Higher odds of Epic or Legendary items, but also higher decrypt cost.

• Event/Specialty Cartridge: Unique or time-limited with special-themed items or bonuses.

These loot boxes can drop powerful weapons, armor, or consumables you might not easily find elsewhere. Some Cartridges may include exclusive skins or cosmetic items for your character.

By gathering Cartridges, decrypting them, and testing your luck on the draw, you’ll add an element of excitement to your progression. Just remember: while some items might be common, the occasional jackpot can give you a real edge—or just a sweet style upgrade.
